Parents and legal guardians experiencing financial hardship may apply for Christmas assistance for eligible children in their care who reside in Josephine County.

Applicants may be asked to provide proof of residency, proof that the children listed are in their care, documentation of financial need or qualifying assistance, and other information necessary to determine eligibility.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee specific toys.

Our toy giveaways are based on the generosity of our community and the products donated to our local campaign.

We will do our best to consider your child's interests, but we cannot guarantee specific toys, brands, characters, electronics, gift values, or requested items.

Recognition varies by sponsorship level and may include business or organization recognition, social media features, website recognition, logo placement on applicable local campaign materials, event recognition, sponsor certificates, and other opportunities.

All recognition is subject to applicable Toys for Tots guidelines.

Yes! Monetary donations are another great way to support the Toys for Tots mission.

Financial contributions help support our ability to meet campaign needs and provide assistance where it is needed most.

Toys for Tots has a special history in our area. The Rogue Valley Young Marines originally helped bring the Toys for Tots mission to the Rogue Valley and are once again leading the local campaign.

Together with volunteers, donors, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, we are working to make Christmas brighter for children throughout Josephine County.

We accept new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children and teens.

Please do not place used or previously opened toys in Toys for Tots collection boxes.

Donations for older children and teenagers are especially appreciated, as these age groups can sometimes be more difficult to fill during the campaign.

Yes. Volunteers who encounter information regarding families receiving assistance are expected to respect their privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Personal family information should never be photographed, shared on social media, or discussed outside of authorized campaign activities.

Approved families will receive an email with an assigned pickup date, time, location, and additional instructions.

Your family's package will be prepared ahead of time based on your children's ages and interests and the donated inventory available.

You will not select toys during pickup.

If additional documentation or clarification is needed, a member of our team will contact you using the information provided on your application.

Yes. Eligible nonprofit organizations serving children and families in our community may submit a request for toys.

Requests are reviewed based on eligibility, the number and ages of children being served, available donations, inventory, campaign resources, and community need.

No. Submission does not guarantee approval, a specific quantity of toys, or particular types of gifts.

Depending on available inventory, we may fulfill all, part, or none of a request.

Toys received through Josephine County Toys for Tots must be distributed free of charge to the children your organization serves.

Toys may not be sold, raffled, auctioned, exchanged, used for fundraising, or used for personal benefit.

The Christmas season becomes extremely busy for our team. Requests submitted with limited notice may be difficult to accommodate.

No. Supplies are based on current inventory and campaign resources.

Your request may be fully approved, partially approved, substituted with an alternative, or unavailable.

Our distribution process will work a little differently this year.

Instead of families selecting toys during distribution, our staff and volunteers will prepare your family's package before your scheduled pickup.

Providing each child's hobbies, favorite activities, characters, sports, colors, and other interests helps our volunteers make thoughtful selections from the donated toys available.

Toys for Tots created a national website to provide information, education, and an opportunity to donate to Toys for Tots to the American public.  Support of our program via the website has increased every year!  We are grateful to our generous donors for their continuous and loyal support.

The national website is the starting point to find one of our nearly 800 Toys for Tots campaign sites.  At the top of the Home Page of the Foundation's National Website (www.toysfortots.org), there is a menu option “Donate a Toy”.  From this menu, one may select the state, then the city/county in which they reside.  If the city/county is covered, clicking on that location will take the surfer to a local Toys for Tots website.  At the local website, each visitor may find information about local events, how to become a collection point for the local campaign, how to register for assistance, and how to donate directly to a local campaign.

Most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, but in many local communities, local support is such that the age limit may be extended to 14-16.

Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate.  If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community.  We would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots.

The Foundation does purchase supplemental toys/gifts for our campaign sites and focuses on these age groups.  In the past, items purchased for these groups have included, but are not limited to:  sporting equipment/bags/balls; books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers.

Toys for Tots prefers not to accept realistic looking weapons and gifts with food.  If donated, such items will NOT be distributed.

You must contact the local Toys for Tots representative about such particulars.  Contacting the national Foundation can increase the time it takes for such a message to reach the appropriate person.  The Foundation is located in Virginia and is limited to either e-mailing or calling the local contact to inform them of any requests that may have been overlooked.
