Josephine County Toys for Tots is excited to serve local children and families this Christmas season. Our distribution process will look a little different this year, and we want families to know what to expect before distribution begins.
?? A More Personalized Approach
This year, families will not shop or select toys during distribution. Instead, our Toys for Tots team and volunteers will prepare a Christmas package for each approved family ahead of their scheduled pickup.
When completing your application, please take a moment to tell us about each child’s likes and interests. This might include:
- Favorite characters, activities, sports, hobbies, or interests
- Types of toys they enjoy
- Favorite colors or themes
- Things they like to build, create, collect, or play with
- Interests specific to older children and teens
Our team will use this information as a guide while preparing your family’s package.
?? Gifts Are Based on Donations
Please remember that Toys for Tots operates through the generosity of our community.
The toys and gifts available for distribution are based solely on what is donated to our local campaign. While our team will do its best to consider each child's interests, we cannot guarantee specific toys, brands, characters, electronics, gift values, or requested items.
Providing your child’s interests helps our volunteers make thoughtful selections from the items we have available—it is not a guarantee that those specific items will be received.
?? Your Family's Package
Once your application has been approved, our team will prepare your family’s package before you arrive. This allows our volunteers to thoughtfully match available donations with the ages and interests of the children in your household.
Packages will be prepared based on:
Your child’s age • Likes and interests • Available donations • Current inventory
Our goal is to make each package as meaningful as possible while serving families fairly and making the best use of the toys entrusted to us by our community.
?? Your Scheduled Pickup
Approved families will receive an email with a specific pickup date and time along with the location and any additional instructions.
Please carefully review your email and arrive during your assigned pickup time. This scheduled process helps us keep distribution organized and allows us to have your family’s package prepared and ready when you arrive.

Our volunteers cannot promise exactly what will be inside each package, but we can promise that our team will put care and thought into preparing gifts for each approved family using the donations available to us.
